Fall already??
I usually know that Fall is in full swing when some great friends run away for a non-interupted scrapbook time! We have so much fun taking in the view, going for long walks, drinking tons of red wine....wait, who am I kidding??!! In all reality, the weekend is spent mostly indoors, scrapbooking to our hearts content, and ok, drinking a little bit of red wine and other things, eating some great food, and catching up on each others lives.
Some great pages were created this weekend. I used (embarrassed to say for the first time) the ultra fantastic Dream Pop paper pack for a few layouts of a photo shoot my youngest was involved in. I love how these pics turned out and am also very happy with the layouts.
I haven't decided on a title yet, and I have another layout to do but I like how these turned out. Everything but the three little flowers are Close To My Heart. I'm glad I have a few of the Dream Pop paper packs left.
Enjoy your Fall.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #20
I love it when you look at a sketch and think "no, I don't have time right now" and then life keeps you busy but all the while an idea is forming. And then that idea begins to leak out onto a piece of paper and voila...you have the next challenge met!
Wasn't sure how this would turn out but I'm happy with the busy-ness of it. Thanks, Atlantic Hearts, for keeping us in ink and paper!

September Blog Hop
Welcome to our blog Hop featuring Close To My Heart Consultants from The Brae-ers Team! We hope you will take the time to hop through and leave comments on our posts...we love the feedback. This month we are featuring all things from Close To My Heart's Cricut cartridges! We are all so in love with what the newest cartridge is all about so enjoying looking around. We hope you are inspired!
If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop. If you came from Heather's blog you are in the right place.
This pic was taken the day after my middle dd was married. We had just taken a serious posed family photo and then it was time to have a little fun! Both my youngest grandson and my stepson's dog are wondering what we are up to! Great memories.
I used the Artbooking cartridge for the overlay, Oh snap and the arrow! The possibilities are endless! The Washi Wonder stamp set is one of my favs! I used some of the negative shapes to add a bit of dimension.
Now hop on over to Michelle's blog to discover what she has created!

It's a guy thing...
With four grandsons, this (retired) paper pack ~ Later Sk8r ~ was awesome to use! I still have lots left to create another few pages featuring my other grandsons, but I love these photos of my youngest darling grandson as he learns the fine art of fishing. The smile says it all!!!
This layout was a Workshop on the Go, but it was changed around some. I apologize for not remembering the name of the wonderfully creative gal who modified the layout but I loved it so much I CASEd it!
I was so excited when Studio J added photo wells making it possible to use it to print any size photos. I spent an entire Sunday with my gathered unfinished layouts and uploaded the photos I wanted into the size of photo wells I created. Easy peasy!! And completed layouts!! There are lots more coming!
Thanks for looking.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #16
A friend is due to have her first baby and since I love the new Babycakes paper pack from Close To My Heart, I thought I would make her a card. Cardmaking isn't really my thing but just when I needed some inspiration, the Atlantic Sketch Challenge came up on Facebook. So I ran with it and came up with two versions.
Now I don't know which one to give her!

For my monthly workshop, I had been asked to replicate the front cover of the Spring Summer 2013 Idea Book. I absolutely fell in love with the layout but would be working with Surf's Up paper pack and needed a companion page. I totally cased this layout from Julie (very creative lady from Ottawa!) and added in a few older stamp sets. I followed the 'use what you have' format to make up the embellishments and voila!!
The photos are those of one of my daughters taken at Wasaga Beach last month. She surprised me by appearing at my parents family reunion and then stayed for a few days with her darling little ones! We had an awesome time. Gman absolutely loved the beach!
I love the way this turned out!

New Product Team Blog Hop
Welcome to our blog Hop featuring Close To My Heart Consultants from The Brae-ers Team! We hope you will take the time to hop through and leave comments on our posts...we love the feedback.
If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop. If you get lost, you can find your way by going to Brae's blog for a full list of participants. If you came from Roz's blog you are in the right place.
This month, we are highlighting the brand new products from the Fall / Winter 2013 Idea Book. I am so excited about this catalogue with the fabulous paper packs, awesome embellishments, a must-have Cricut cartridge...well, you just have to look yourself!!
One of my grandsons enjoys the world of gaming so when I saw the ProPlayer paper pack, I was delighted! For this layout I used a very simple sketch and only embellished a bit. Not usually one for only putting one picture on a layout, but for this one, I wanted Alex to be the focus. As my ProPlayer Assortment hasn't arrived, I improvised the badge buttons by creating my own. Other new items used: Midtown Cork Shapes (Z1863), Bronze Shimmer Trim (Z1849) and One-Way Borders stamp set (C1561).
Your next stop is Michelle Hughes' blog. Thanks for hopping along with us. We hope we have inspired you to create your own projects using the new product available now.
